Dabei geht es um Strukturen und Prozesse innerhalb des Verbandes von Nanoteilchen in der Größenordnung einiger weniger bis einiger Tausend Atome oder Moleküle.\r\nUm die neuartigen physikalischen und chemischen Eigenschaften der Stoffe in diesen kleinen Dimensionen überhaupt verstehen und in weiterer Folge auch bestmöglich nutzen zu können, sind Messungen und nach Möglichkeit auch Beeinflussungen dieser Partikel erforderlich.
