Das Virus verändert sich ständig und niemand kann vorhersagen, was im kommenden Winter passieren wird. Wie gefährlich ist das Virus noch? Wie gut wirken die neuen SARS-CoV-2-Impfungen gegen die zirkulierenden Virusvarianten? Die großflächige Verwendung von FFP2-Masken hat auch das Auftreten anderer Erreger entscheidend beeinflusst.
So blieben in den letzten beiden Jahren größere Grippewellen aus und RS-Virus-Erkrankungen traten ungewöhnlich gehäuft außerhalb des Winters auf. Da Kinder die Motoren für die Weiterverbreitung der Influenza sind, kann es heuer durch das Fehlen der Immunität der letzten beiden Geburtenjahrgängen zu einer ganz massiven Influenzawelle kommen. Ähnliches wird auch für Pneumo- und Meningokokken erwartet. Neben SARS-CoV-2 gibt es aber auch interessante Entwicklungen bezüglich Impfungen gegen RSV, Pneumokokken und Herpes Zoster. Des Weiteren diskutieren wir die Tatsache, dass eine hochwirksame und kostenlose Impfung gegen das Zervixkarzinom angeboten wird, die von der Bevölkerung jedoch viel zu wenig angenommen wird. Das Gesundheitssystem ist durch die Pandemie massiv belastet. Die Öffentlichkeit und die Politik sind weiterhin gefordert, sinnvolle und wirksame Maßnahmen zu ergreifen. Ärztinnen und Ärzte sowie Apothekerinnen und Apotheker sind als Meinungsbildner hier in einer entscheidend wichtigen Position. Der Grazer Impftag bietet Ihnen in komprimierter Weise einen Überblick zu diesen wichtigen Fragen.

Dr. Martin Jury, PostDoc Scientist am Wegener Center for Climate and Global Change of the University of Graz wird einen Vortrag zum Thema „ Global Climate Change” halten. Oktober 2022 haben Bürger*innen die Gelegenheit, sich über die Generalplanung des Leitspitals Bezirk Liezen zu informieren.
Um auch in Zukunft eine bestmögliche Gesundheitsversorgung zu gewährleisten, werden derzeit die Strukturen im Bezirk Liezen weiterentwickelt. Ein Teil dieser Weiterentwicklung ist die Errichtung des Leitspitals. Geplant sind drei Baukörper mit Holzfassade, nicht höher als zwei bzw. dreigeschossig, eingebettet in eine Grünlandschaft. Das ganze Haus ist so konzipiert, dass es möglichst kurze Wege gibt. Wie konkret kann man sich dieses zukunftsweisende Spitalskonzept vorstellen? Worin liegen die Vorteile für Patient*innen und Mitarbeiter? Und wie wird die Gesundheitsversorgung im Bezirk auch über das Leitspital hinaus weiterentwickelt? Antworten erhalten alle Interessierten bei der zweiten Ausgabe der Veranstaltungsreihe „Gesund im Bezirk Liezen“.

Wie häufig erkranken Kinder an COVID-19? Wie häufig zeigen Kinder mit einer Coronavirus-Infektion Symptome? Und welche Symptome zeigen sie? Wie lange halten diese an? Wie äußert sich „Long COVID“ bei Kindern? Was führt zur überschießenden Immunreaktion, die bei Kindern und Jugendlichen nach einer Coronavirus-Infektion auftritt? Und hat sich mit Omikron an all dem etwas geändert? All diesen Fragen geht eine groß angelegte Studie nach, welche in einer Kooperation der Medizinischen Universität Graz und der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Kinder- und Jugendheilkunde (ÖGKJ) durchgeführt wird.

The event “Becoming part of EOSC: learn how to prepare your services” is organised to inform about the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) policies, use cases from the EOSC Catalogue, and practical steps that enable services to be onboarded to its trusted, federated environment.
The vision of EOSC is to develop the “Web of FAIR data and services”. The European Commission supports EOSC realisation aiming, among other things, to simplify cross-country and interdisciplinary access and interoperability in European research outputs that will increase innovation and market competition. Having services and data in EOSC enhances collaboration and visibility of intellectual works leading to a better flow of scientific information that reaches wider audiences and gets more citations. By being part of EOSC, services are employed with best practices to support Open and FAIR research that is a prerequisite in the European Research Area, thus securing researchers’ competences and compliance with EU Open Science requirements.
This event is supported by the NI4OS-Europe project that has designed the workflows and provides the tools for the onboarding of services to EOSC in the South East European region. Complementary, the OntoCommons project will highlight the work and best practices for ontologies in EOSC.
By the end of the event, participants will be able to:
- navigate around and use the NI4OS-Europe catalogue
- know the different steps and procedures relevant to onboarding their services to the EOSC Catalogue
- use new tools to comply with the EOSC Rules of Participation and onboard their services to the EOSC Catalogue
- have their questions answered
