Welche Risiken bringt die Ausübung von Leistungssport mit sich? Wie definiert man Freizeitsport und Hochleistungssport?\n\nZu Beginn bin ich auf die Besonderheiten des kindlichen und jugendlichen Körpers eingegangen. Der kindliche und jugendliche Körper befindet sich durch den laufenden Wachstumsprozess bis zum Erreichen des Erwachsenenalters ständig im Wechsel. Konsequentes Training hat Auswirkungen auf die Entwicklung und Funktion bestimmter Körperteile.\n\nZur Veranschaulichung werden die häufigsten Sportverletzungen in zwei ausgesuchten Sportarten – Judo und Leichtathletik – beschrieben. Zur Vermeidung von Sportverletzungen ist die sportmedizinische Untersuchung ein adäquates und wichtiges Mittel.
