Diese soll und muss sich auch den Lebensrealitäten der Patient*innen anpassen. Das digitale Zeitalter bietet dabei die Möglichkeit, Interventionen technologiegestützt durchzuführen. Teletherapie ergänzt den Therapieprozess schon in vielen Bereichen der Ergotherapie. Die Wirksamkeit dieser eHealth-Interventionen ist dabei eng mit der digitalen Gesundheitskompetenz verbunden. Tele-Ergotherapie ermöglicht eine klient*innenzentrierte Durchführung von orts- und zeitunabhängigen Interventionen in der tatsächlichen Lebenswelt der Patient*innen. Dabei gewinnen eHealth-Interventionen im ergotherapeutischen Setting an Zuwachs. Für diese bestehen aktuell noch Unsicherheiten in der Durchführung und im Umgang mit den Technologien.
