So werden sie beispielsweise zu Therapiezwecken und als Kommunikationshilfen eingesetzt. Vielfach ist die Barrierefreiheit von Technologien für Kinder mit Entwicklungsstörungen jedoch nicht ausreichend gegeben. Zugleich wird dieses Thema in der Ausbildung derjenigen Studierenden, die in ihrem Berufsleben später Technologien (mit-)entwickeln und/oder einsetzen werden noch kaum behandelt. Im Rahmen dieses interdisziplinären Kooperationsprojekts von sieben Institutionen aus sechs Ländern sollen Leitlinien zur Evaluation von Technologien hinsichtlich ihrer Barrierefreiheit für Kinder mit Entwicklungsstörungen entwickelt und ein umfangreiches Lehrmaterial erstellt, eingesetzt und verbreitet werden. TE(A)CHADOPT soll dazu beitragen, dass Technologien künftig besser die Wünsche und Bedürfnisse von Kindern mit Entwicklungsstörungen
